Driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal in all 50 states. Wisconsin, specifically, has a zero-tolerance law for driving a vehicle with any amount of marijuana in your body.  Wisconsin law states that if there is any “detectable amount” of the marijuana metabolite, “THC”,  found in your system, you will be charged with operating while intoxicated, even if you were not actually intoxicated. OWI laws pertaining to marijuana clearly differ from those governing alcohol, as the existence of alcohol in your system is permitted as long as your BAC is under .08. Any OWI charge can be successfully challenged by seasoned legal counsel.
